Cream Cheese Glaze
More interesting than the usual sugar glaze on pastries, quick breads or muffins. Any item where cream cheese is a natural flavor go to.
- 4 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract or other extra or liquor
- 3-4 Tablespoons milk adjust amount as needed
Leave the cream cheese out to warm to room temperature.Beat room temperature cream cheese till very creamy.Fold in powdered sugar.Stir in vanilla or other flavoring with only 3 Tablespoons of milk to start. Add more milk as needed. Should you add too much liquid add more powdered sugar by the teaspoonful.Drizzle while at room temperature over your baked goods. This will harden as it sits.
This needs to be able to drizzle it shouldn't be as thick as a frosting.
